Someone opens a door. Something is hidden behind it. At that moment, the situation spirals out of control.
Interactive music theatre and spatial installation for two tenors, recorder, oboe, piano, harp, electric guitar, percussion, cello, women’s choir and electronic sounds (2015/16)

In The Navidson Records, 18 performers and a choir work together with texts, music and choreography to create a labyrinthine performance. Through an intermedia and expansive installation, the performance explores the tipping point between the feeling of being at home and the collapse of this everyday familiarity. What do we do when we suddenly find ourselves in the middle of nowhere? This uncanny moment can represent situations in which we feel lost and thrown back on ourselves. The performers explore the emergence of uncertain situations with the audience as a joint performative-musical exploration. An open working process is chosen for the production and performance, with temporary loss of orientation deliberately accepted. The audience moves freely and becomes a co-author of the performance. The question constantly arises as to what decisions we must make in order to reach the core of the labyrinth.
