process

In recent years, my focus has shifted from a theoretical and practical level of perception processes to more thematic, socially reflective work processes. In this context, questions of everyday life, politics, history and society are increasingly intertwined with an artistic performative act of creation or action.
As artists, we are in the extraordinary position of not only theorising new communities of thought and action, but also developing new formats and ideas, trying them out on a small scale and realising them. These ‘biotopes’ can take very different forms and structures, from small interventions in the everyday environment to collaborative mediation models.
My ongoing exploration focuses on questions such as:

  • How can artistic formats reflect and bring to life social transformations (political, ecological, historical)?
  • What alternative perspectives on art and society can be gained from the historical and contemporary contexts of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe?
  • How can mediation and participation be designed in such a way that they reach a broad audience and involve people from different backgrounds in the artistic process?
  • What forms of laboratories, workshops and open situations can be developed to generate knowledge through exchange without focusing on a finished product?

My artistic work thus deliberately moves against the logic of pure production and is oriented towards ephemeral, processual and experimental situations. The result is artistic projects that often flourish over a longer period of time and focus on exchange, sustainability, interdisciplinarity, mediation and reflection.
