Based on Vienna's recent history and geographical location, Jamming the Aether highlights the use of radio as a means of communication, collective listening and debate, as an educational space and as an instrument of political propaganda. Through the compositional superimposition of a historical collection of recorded broadcasts, the installation illustrates the complexity and versatility of the century-old medium of radio and why it is still relevant today (or perhaps especially today).
