In the Blink of an Ear embraces a collective and collaborative approach around sound art, building since its beginnings a community around this medium. Since 2022, the project has been conceived as an open, collaborative sound laboratory that explores processes of perception and enables collaborative creative actions.

In the participatory project “In the Blink of an Ear,” participating artists were invited to experiment with different aspects of listening and to explore the complex relationship between their bodies, the bodies of others, and the surrounding space. To expand the interaction between sound and space, we used simple and easily accessible devices such as piezo microphones, coils, recording devices, MP3 players, smartphones, and small speakers in addition to our physical presence. With these tools, we created and worked on individual/collaborative artworks in a non-predefined format. These works were then exhibited at CAV Multimedia, a contemporary art gallery in Bucharest, Romania.
Previously, we were provided with premises for a week for the joint studio of UNATC CINETic Bucharest.
One focus in 2024 was to explore the politics of the body in public space and to consider walking and listening as tactics that enable us to reclaim the social and cultural structures that have been imposed on spaces.
