Composition commissioned by Camerata Zurich on the occasion of its 60th anniversary
sponsored by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation
Dedicated to the musicians of Camerata Zurich
The four electroacoustic intermezzos link the anniversary works by Thomas Demenga, Jürg Wyttenbach, Alfred Zimmerlin and Stephanie Haensler to form a complete work lasting approximately 40 minutes. They are therefore only intended to be performed in combination with these pieces. The order of the complete work is:
- Electroacoustic intermezzo: ausufernde Kammern (Lim)
- Dramoletto (Zimmerlin)
- Electroacoustic Intermezzo: aufgreifende Reduktion (Lim)
- RE DO oder? oder: DO RE (Wyttenbach)
- Electroacoustic Intermezzo: auslotende Erinnerungen (Lim)
- durch streifen (Haensler)
- Electroacoustic Intermezzo: auflösende Enthüllung (Lim)
- Pezzo (Demenga)
The intermezzos were composed specifically for this concert programme on 23 June 2018 in the auditorium of the University of Zurich.
There are no breaks or interruptions between the individual parts; the intermezzos and the anniversary works flow seamlessly into one another, slightly overlapping.
The electronics are played live by the director; these are not pre-produced radio pieces.
